English Film Week / Grades 8-13

€120.00

Film Project Weeks offer a unique hands-on experience with filmmaking. Students develop an original idea and see it become the finished product – a five to seven-minute-long HD film produced with native-English filmmakers and actors. With the concept decided, each student has the opportunity to learn about one or more production roles – either behind or in front of the camera. Students have the choice of being on either the production or creative team. The production team works with the camera, lights, and sound recording; the creative team designs and builds film sets, creates and chooses costumes and make-up as well as acting. Students receive a digital copy of their film which can be screened at the school.

How it Works

Monday - Wednesday, students participate in workshops focused on the creative and production aspects of filmmaking. Each student will learn a job on the filmset. On Thursday and Friday students will work as a team to make their film. Post production in completed after the project by the InterACT team. • Creative Workshop - writing the screenplay, casting the actors, developing the style of the film.
